Funkfest / A Farmhouse and Wild Ale Event

Our board will be transformed into a variety of saisons, farmhouse and wild ales, and sours. We will also feature food vendors and three live bands.

Join us as we get into the summer groove...

The Craft Beer Draft List (more to be added)

Saison Dupont from Brasserie Dupont: Coppery blond, the finest aromas and a strong bitterness transform this beer into a thirst-quenchener with no equal, just the way it was created.

Classic Saison from Blackberry Farm: This is a Belgian-style farmhouse ale. The aroma is dominated by fruity esters reminiscent of citrus fruits along with a moderate earthy and floral hop aroma .

Apricot au Poivre Saison from Nebraska Brewing Company: The taste is light, refreshing and nicely fruited to start. Medium mouth-feel. After taking a drink, the black pepper dries the palate and creates a nice tingling sensation on the tongue.

Ouasis from Une Année Brewery: American wild ale

Olly from Free Will Brewing Company: A foudre and barrel aged sour brown ale blend of one, two and four year-old vintages. Displaying notes of dark fruit, with malty, caramel undertones and a pleasantly sour finish.

Existent from Stillwater Artisanal: Deep & dark though deceptively dry, braced by a firm yet smooth bitterness and accented with an earthy hop and mild roast aroma.

Classique from Stillwater Artisanal: A postmodern deconstruction of the American industrial lager made with naughty ingredients like corn and rice, completed with pilsner malt and lots of your favorite old-school American hops and farmhouse ale yeast.. "your Grandfather's new beer".

Aristocratic Fantasy from Urban Family Brewing Company: Tart 4-Grain Ale

Imagined History from Urban Family Brewing Company: Wild farmhouse with squash, hay & spices

La Saison d'Epeautre from Brasserie de Blaugies: Made in a unique traditional style, using spelt and barley malt in the mash. Very dry and light in body, with a hint of wheaty tartness and a hardy texture that expresses the character of spelt, a primitive strain of wheat.

Nobel Rouge from Saint Somewhere Brewing Co.: Farmhouse ale brewed with red grapes

Farmhouse Pale Ale from Oxbow Brewing Company: American hops meet saison yeast in this dry, signature ale.

Aprioct Sour from Avery Brewing Company: Bushels of juicy apricots and bright bursts of barrel-aged tartness are seamlessly infused to cultivate this deliciously distinctive and succulent sour ale.

Jordan Ramirez 1p-3p (on the patio)

A percussive, complementary acoustic guitar takes a backseat to powerful, soulful vocals in the heartfelt solo-performance of singer/songwriter, Jordan Ramirez.

Deriving inspiration from modern day pop music as well as the vocal-driven solo artists of yesteryear, Jordan's music has been described as "acoustic funk with a hip hop element" capable of "captivat[ing] the room with [a] soulful voice and [an] original guitar style" -- (Matt Mattei, Rolling Stone, Times Leader).

With each successive performance proving to be one-of-a-kind, Jordan has managed to impart his unique style upon all of his music, whether original or covered. Jordan is the founder of Going Up? Studios in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

The Coteries 8p-11p
If the road can teach you anything, it is the difference between what you need and what you don't. Born out of the midst of an 11,000 mile North American road trip, The Coteries bring you Folk Rock music steeped in their travels and the back roads of the American countryside. Just two summers ago the female-fronted trio found their footing behind the wheel of their old VW Bus, Trusty Rusty. Aside for some freezing August nights in the mountains of Wyoming and Montana, it was the best decision of their lives. Since their return, they've played over 200 shows in their inaugural year bolstering their sound with acoustic guitars, mandolin, a stomp box, and harmonicas. They've gone from farmer's markets and corners of bars to playing major festivals like Divide Music Festival and Harmonium Music Fest performing alongside Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes, Blondie, Cold War Kids, The Fray and Parsonsfield. With a recent endorsement from GoWesty (joining the ranks of artists like Gregory Alan Isakov) they've become traveling ambassadors as they continue their momentum into 2016. On July 29th, 2016 they'll be releasing Reason in the Road, which is a reflection of all they have experienced discovering themselves and the American countryside.

They say that classics never go out of style. The Ethan Jano Band adheres to that school of thought. Lying somewhere between Buddy Holly and Black Sabbath is The EJB- a band made up of four members that pull from their different influences and come together to equal something far greater than their individual parts. The band is firmly rooted in Rock N' Roll and its many styles- but its more than that, this is 2017 not 1977 after all. The music is a melting pot of peculiar yet familiar sounds. This is dirty Rock N' Roll that your conservative Grandpa and your wild teenager can agree on. Calling Somerset, PA their home, The Ethan Jano Band has been cutting there teeth around the east coast of the US for more than a couple years. With two full-lengths under their belts, and plans to release a trilogy of extended plays in 2017, The EJB is no stranger to hardwork, persistence, and perseverance. Combining intimate lyricism, thought provoking instrumentation, and intense live shows The Ethan Jano Band "is never boring, always interesting, and a breathe of fresh air from a voice with finally something worth saying."-The Big Takeover(Cody Conrad)

The John Byrne Band plays the Tap

Join us for great music, great beer, and great people. We're doing something special here and want you to be a part of it.

The John Byrne Band is led by Dublin native and Philadelphia-based John Byrne. Their debut album, After the Wake, was released to critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic in 2011. With influences ranging from Tom Waits to Planxty, John’s songwriting honors and expands upon the musical and lyrical traditions of his native and adopted homes. John and the band followed up After the Wake in early 2013 with an album of Celtic and American traditional tunes. The album, Celtic/Folk, pushed the band on to the FolkDJ Charts, reaching number 36 in May 2015. Their third release, another collection of John Byrne originals, entitled “The Immigrant and the Orphan”, was released in Sept 2015. The album, once again, draws heavily on John’s love of Americana and Celtic Folk music and with the support of DJs around the country entered the FolkDJ Charts at number 40. Critics have called it “..a powerful, deeply moving work that will stay with you long after you have heard it” (Michael Tearson-Sing Out); “The Vibe of it (The Immigrant and the Orphan) is, at once, as rough as rock and as elegant as a calm ocean..each song on this album carries an honesty, integrity and quiet passion that will draw you into its world for years to come” (Terry Roland – No Depression); “If any element of Celtic, Americana or Indie-Folk is your thing, then this album is an absolute yes” (Beehive Candy); “It’s a gorgeous, nostalgic record filled with themes of loss, hope, history and lost loves; everything that tugs at your soul and spills your blood and guts…The Immigrant and the Orphan scorches the earth and emerges tough as nails” (Jane Roser – That Music Mag)

The John Byrne Band, however, is as much at home in a traditional session at a corner bar as it is in larger venues/festivals and opening for national acts. John has toured with or opened up for acts as diverse as The Hothouse Flowers, Ian Gillan (of Deep Purple), Patti Smyth, Gaelic Storm, Finbar Furey, Luka Bloom, The Saw Doctors, The Screaming Orphans, Solas and The Greencards. In Fall, 2012, John and the Band performed with The Irish Tenors for the Liberty Medal Presentation at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia before President Bill Clinton and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

The four members of Background Orcs combine musical styles and feels from around the globe to deliver a high-energy atmosphere for listeners as well as keep them on their toes with a unique sound that defies normal categorization. While some have attempted to package the Orcs' sound with brands such as "Deep Pocket Immersive Groove" or "Heady Psychedelic Jazz Fusion", one must experience the group first hand to grasp their diverse musical directions. Regardless of genre, constant craftsmanship by all four members has been a hallmark of Background Orcs from the very beginning and has led the group to having a formidable presence in the Northeast music scene, sharing stages with artists such as Bernie Worrell, Dopapod, Consider The Source, The New Mastersounds, Rebirth Brass Band, The Nth Power, and many more. In 2014 the Orcs dropped their first full length album Villains. The creative juices are ever flowing, and with enough material already written to record another full album, the Orcs have set their sights on world domination. Be afraid, the Orcs are coming to a town near you.

Southern Tier Brewing Company Tap Takeover

Southern Tier Brewing Company of Lakewood, New York, has grown to produce more than 100,000 barrels of beer annually. The hand crafted ales are now available in more than thirty States and points beyond.

Founders Phineas DeMink and Allen “Skip” Yahn started the brewery with the vision of reviving the practice of small batch brewing to a region rich in brewing tradition. In 2002, with equipment gained from the purchase of the Old Saddleback Brewing Co. in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, the Southern Tier Brewing Company began production in the Stoneman Business Park just outside of Lakewood, New York. By 2003, select varieties of small batch ales were locally distributed, and by 2005, sales covered the majority of New York State and Pennsylvania. Before launching a successful roster of seasonal beers, the brewery produced Pilsner, Mild Ale, and India Pale Ale.

Finding his way through the 90's with "Freight Train" and then turning to his vision of song craft by releasing "Holiday" in 2004 then in 2008 with the self titled recording....both recorded at Electric Wilburland, "Dulcet", a live solo performance was released 2012 and before this new year will bring the focus on an electric offering......this one should shake things up a bit. As always, you can count on authentic and soulful sounds when in the presence of CHB....the Charles Havira Band. Musicians for this show will include: Justin Mazer, Nick Driscoll, and Karen Ritter.

Goose Island Bourbon County Release Party

In 1992, Goose Island gave the beer industry a new reason to belly up to the bar: bourbon-aged beer. We pioneered the process, and it begins with first-use bourbon barrels. Our brewers only choose those that have had held sweet, sweet whiskey in their bellies for an average of 8 years, then they age our beer inside for 8-12 months. This process takes place in a non-climate controlled space, allowing exposure to the extreme heat and cold of Chicago’s ecosystem, which contracts and expands the wood, pulling the barrel’s whiskey character into our brew. Each barrel is used only once, ensuring the best quality taste in every pint.

We will be featuring: 2014, 2015, and 2016 Vintage Reserves
